What was the highlight of Labranda Suites Costa Adeje
Nice and superb staff but with some negative details
We decided to give a mixed review for this hotel. First we want to highlight some very positive aspects: - the staff is superbly friendly, helpful, and quick to attend e.g. when our door had a technical failure. They helped us with information about outside trips, and we appreciated their friendly and warm demeanor. They always had a smile to spare even when it got hectic. - along with the staff, the animation team also did a wonderful job. The hotel offers different activities throughout the day even though the hotel was only about half-full, and we especially recommend the mojito workshop! The shows and game nights were a nice finish of our days where you could win eg spa vouchers. We also enjoyed the functional training classes held once a day and the other sports activities. - although we didn‘t go in, the pool seemed very clean and the area around it was always well-maintained. - our room was very big with a separate living room and a little garden. -the buffet area was clean and the food was generally good. There is always fresh fish and a large salad buffet available. - the location is very good, with a short walk to the besch and an inexpensive parking nearby (10€ for 3 days). The hotel has its own parking at 12€ a day. - there‘s a small gym with a variety of strength and cardio machines which we enjoyed. - the rooftop bar is awesome! - we liked their green room program where you can decide to suspend you room cleaning for 2 days in exchange for a free cocktail (although this didn‘t work throughout as on the second day, someone cleaned our room, anyways). - the general areas of the establishment are well-maintained, elegant, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the the greenery everywhere. There are also several sitting areas and bars. - the barkeepers do a great job and prepare very good cocktails (although the alcohol itself that they use for the standard cocktails is not very high-quality, but as to be expected in a hotel with an all-inclusive option).
Although we generally enjoyed our stay, we have also noted some things that we felt did not keep up with the standard of a 4 star hotel: - the materials used in the room are partly cheap, badly maintained and partly broken. Our showerhead looked horrible, was completely full of lime (both showerheads), was loosening, and the knob to change between showerheads needed so much force I couldn‘t turn it by myself. The toilet paper holder and small makeup mirror were also loose. Some lamps didn’t work. These things could easily be fixed by a better maintenance. Then, there’s bigger issues. In the shower, the water stays standing so it seems a construction error. Some of the tiles of the laminate floor were crooked and wavey so that they stuck out (maybe they got flooded?) so we often stumbled on the edges. This is downright dangerous! The two single beds easily move so you slip between the beds. - there‘s a safe in the room that‘s useless as you need the bolt at 3€ per day. This is something that should be included in a 4 star hotel and seems cheap from the hotel. - the gym was not regularly cleaned as could be seen by the footprints of dirty shoes on the mats. They should remind people of gym etiquette and provide equipment to self-clean, or clean the gym daily by the cleaning team. - the food, although good, lacked variety. We were glad to only have booked half-board, as food started to be repetitive after the second day. Aprt from the salad buffet and dessert, there were not many vegetarian and vegan options. The desserts were pretty much all cream-based and lacked taste. Although we saw some things being reused the next day, which we appreciated, there‘s always a lot of food waste at these types of buffets.

Would I stay again? Yes absolutely.
Excellent location. Modern. Lovely garden room on ground floor with astroturf and nice sunny room which I asked for. Recognised my birthday and left cake cava and chocolates in the room on the day when we came back in. Reception staff very pleasant especially Joel Nunez Bello who was very helpful with sorting out and printing our boarding passes. Nice welcome drink on arrival.
No little milk jiggers every day so had to buy a bottle. No inside entertainment area so abit cold for winter sun to sit outside. Everyone had coats on. Ordering of drinks if you’re not all inclusive in the restaurant is chaotic to say the least

Nice location
The location of the hotel is very good
The pool was not warmed, not warm enough not even in the kids pool. We asked about the entertainment for kids, we were told it will be at 15 and then nothing happened. The music during the night entertainment is too loud taking in consideration that is in the family wing, kids sleep early.
